I bought the ebook version, loaded it into my ipad and I propped the reader in front of me while I did the exercises on my computer. I find this arrangement much easier than trying to maneuver a large paper volume with one hand and working the computer with the other. Most of the exercises are well thought out and were easy to follow but I'm not sure I would recommend this to a beginner.
Working through this book increased my Lightroom and, especially, my Photoshop abilities immensely. The exercises are easy to follow and reproduce by starting with the photo files available by download. Great for those who want self paced structured instruction. I learned the basics, which greatly increase my post production efficiency. A big improvement on last year's edition.

I ordered this because I was having trouble getting to grips with Adobe Lightroom. Halfway through this book and I have learnt so much, Lightroom is now much easier to use. Great book easy to understand and follow. Report abuse. This system of book and computer lesson, is really helping me, it certainly clears up gaps in your knowledge and explains areas you may not use often in a thorough way. Also if like me your memory is not a good as it used to be, you know you can revisit sections at any time.
Very good resource to have sitting beside you when editing! Has helped to improve my workflow between Lightroom and photoshop. Reminds you about basics when you've forgotten something and explains lots of other features. Excellent book with great online downloads to support the lessons.
